CHANGING LIVES IN SHEBOYGAN COUNTY
Imagine a community where children, individuals and families thrive; neighbors care for each other; and we are proud of all our residents’ quality of life.
For more than 80 years, United Way of Sheboygan County has been working to make that vision a reality.
Our Mission: United Way strives to build a stronger and healthier Sheboygan County through effectively facilitating community resources, convening broad dialogue and leading through partnerships and collaboration.
Our Vision: A community where all individuals and families can achieve their human potential through education, income stability and healthy lives.
How we achieve our mission
We harness the collective compassion and resources of our community to improve lives!
Better than any other organization, United Way has the ability to bring together businesses, community organizations, volunteers, government, private foundations and nonprofit agencies around a shared vision -- improving lives.
By focusing the best people, latest research and innovative practices around achieving measurable results, we maximize the impact made for thousands of people in Sheboygan County.
Further strengthening United Way’s ability to create better lives for the people of Sheboygan County, we took over the Volunteer Center in the summer of 2014. Since then we have completed a strategic plan, integrated the Center into United Way’s branding and formed an Advisory Committee, which is a subcommittee of United Way’s Board of Directors. With this, we now have the ability to not only help fund 19 partner agencies in the community, but we can also help provide volunteers to help advance the mission and the work of over 70 local nonprofit organizations.
