How We Came Together to Support Families & Youth

From free family fun to vital mental health services, here's what we accomplished together

Community Impact in June 2025: United Way Events Bringing Us Together

June was a powerful month of connection, community, and care in Sheboygan County. From celebrating families to raising awareness (and vital funds) for youth mental health, our June programs brought thousands of individuals together in support of a stronger, healthier community.

Here’s a look back at the highlights and impact of three signature events:

Family Fun Fest

On a sunny Saturday, nearly 2,000 individuals gathered at Fountain Park in downtown Sheboygan for our annual Family Fun Fest — a joyful, free community event designed for kids and caregivers alike. Families connected with 25+ local organizations offering hands-on activities, free books, learning tools, and access to family-centered resources.

This event is about more than fun—it’s about empowerment. By connecting parents and caregivers to local support systems, we’re helping ensure that every child in Sheboygan County gets the strong start they deserve.

A special thanks to our NextGen Leaders for volunteering during the event.

And to thank you to our sponsors for this year:

  • Just Kids Dental
  • Dulmes Decor
  • Sheboygan-area Culver's
  • Biggby Coffee

Golf for Youth Mental Health

Now in its seventh year, our June 20th fundraiser was more than a just another day on the green. This day is about support our school-based mental health program, PATH (Providing Access to Healing). PATH provides no-cost therapy for local students right in their schools, removing barriers like transportation, cost, and stigma.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, golfers and volunteers, we were able to raise critical funds to expand mental health care access for youth across our county.

Highlights:

  • 9 local organizations sharing resources about the importance of mental wellness in our community
  • 140+ golfers participated
  • $30,000+ raised to support the PATH program in Sheboygan County

Passport to Family Fun

In celebration of April as "Month of the Young Child", local families and caregivers were invited to explore Sheboygan County through our "Passport to Family Fun". This virtual guide encourages families to explore the numerous family-friendly resources and activities in our local communities.

Families logged their visits at participating locations throughout Sheboygan County including local libraries, museum, parks, community-serving organizations and more. Each visit earned them points to incredible prizes.

Highlights from this year's Passport:

  • 316 families participated
  • Prizes to the Top 5 winners
  • Countless smiles and loads of great pictures of local families learning exploring new trails, parks, libraries and more

Thank you, Sheboygan County!

None of this is possible without our incredible volunteers, donors, nonprofit partners, sponsors, and community champions. Your participation makes events like these not only successful—but meaningful. Together, we are giving hope, creating connection, and building a better Sheboygan County for all.
